Installing WP Auto Installer is quick and easy:
- Click the download link inside the confirmation email which you received after purchasing WPAI and download the latest version
- Also download the keycode file which contains your license key
- Upload the zip file to your server
- Unzip the .zip file anywhere under the public_html directory
- Set permission of the config.php file to 777.
- Set permission of the wordpress-backup-files and wordpress-installer-files folders to 777
- Access the install.php file from your browser to complete installation. For instance, if your domain name is example.com and you installed WPAI under the wpai folder, this would be done by typing http://www.example.com/wpai in your favorite browser. You should then see the installation screen.
- Create a MySQL database and username. Remember to give all rights to your new database to that new user. Creating a MySQL database and user can be easily be done from your cPanel. When entering your MySQL credentials and if you have a cPanel account, remember to add the prefix (the name of your cPanel account) to the name of your database and username.
- Once installation is complete, delete or rename the install.php file and CHMOD config.php to 644
- Log into your WPAI install using admin/admin as the initial username/password. You may change them in the settings page.
- Enter your license key in the Settings page.
